Live-in care means a dedicated carer lives in your home, providing day-to-day support and reassurance round the clock. For many people, it’s the perfect answer – you get to stay in the place you know and love, with one person who truly knows you, instead of the residential care home route.
We hear this from families time and again – the care home conversation is hard. Live-in care is different. Your loved one stays in their own bed, their own garden, their own routines. Pets stay. Neighbours stay. Everything that makes home feel like home stays the same. They get one-to-one attention, not shared care between residents. And family and friends can visit whenever they want.
We don’t just pair up any carer with a client. We spend time understanding personality, interests, values and care needs. Then we carefully introduce your matched carer so everyone feels confident. Your live-in carer will have their own space in the home, and we arrange regular breaks and cover so care stays consistent and your carer stays well-rested.
One of the biggest advantages of live-in care is that couples can remain at home together. If one partner needs significant support, it’s often more cost-effective and far more emotionally comfortable than looking at two separate residential placements. You stay in your home, with each other, with independence and dignity intact.
All our carers are trained and registered, working with your personalised care plan. We use digital care planning digital systems so everything’s clear, recorded and secure. You’ll have regular check-ins with our local team here locally in Central Scotland – we’re not a distant head office. We’re close by, responsive and personally invested in the care we deliver.

What is live-in care?
Live-in care means a trained carer moves into your home to provide around-the-clock support. It’s an alternative to residential care that lets you stay in familiar surroundings with one-to-one attention.
Does the carer stay overnight?
Yes. Your live-in carer is there around the clock. They have rest periods and a private space within your home, but they’re available whenever you need them.
Is live-in care more expensive than a care home?
For individuals it’s often comparable. For couples, live-in care can be significantly more cost-effective since both partners receive support in their own home for one fee. We can talk through the costs openly.
